Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join a challenge?

Visit the challenge page and tap "Join with Strava." You'll be asked to connect your Strava account. Once connected, your runs will sync automatically.

How often do my activities sync?

Activities sync automatically every 2 hours. When you first join a challenge, all qualifying runs within the challenge dates are synced immediately.

Why isn't my run showing up?

Runs may be excluded if they:

  • Are below the minimum distance (usually 2 km)
  • Have an unrealistic pace (faster than 2:30/km or slower than 15:00/km)
  • Are treadmill runs and the challenge doesn't allow them
  • Fall outside the challenge date range

If none of these apply, wait for the next sync cycle (every 2 hours).

Can I leave a challenge?

No — once you join a challenge, you're in for the duration. This keeps the leaderboard fair for everyone. You can delete your entire account if needed.

How is the leaderboard ranked?

Runners are ranked by total distance (most kilometers wins). Ties are broken by number of runs (more consistent runner wins), then by join date (earlier joiner wins).

I see "There was a problem authenticating you" on Strava

This usually means you're not logged into Strava. Visit strava.com and log in first, then try joining again.

How do I disconnect my Strava account?

You can revoke TheRunCloud's access at Strava Settings > My Apps. Your historical data will remain on leaderboards but no new activities will sync.

How do I delete my account?

Visit Delete Account to permanently remove all your data. This action cannot be undone.

How do I add my running club?

Email us at krc@qusai.org with your club name, logo, and challenge details. We'll set you up within 24 hours.
